What is the Digital Literacy Master Class?
The digital master class is a six-week program consisting of weekly classes designed to introduce artists and artisans to digital tools and strategies. Classes will be delivered as an online webinar and each session will be 2-2 1⁄2 hours in duration.
What should I expect from the program?
Each class will focus on a specific area to help participants formalize their online presence and their capacity to market, promote, and sell their products online. Case studies will be presented, providing participants with practical examples of how these concepts have been applied. Certain classes will also include a guest expert panelist who can provide additional context and advice on that week’s topic. The program outline is available here.
At the end of the program, you will have your own website presence and e-commerce storefront, along with the foundation skills to manage, market, and promote your products.
Who is delivering the program?
The program is being delivered through the Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design in collaboration with VMP Group, a digital agency currently celebrating 25 years of working in technology.
What is expected from me?
You’ll be required to participate in each weekly class, which will be scheduled for one morning per week for six weeks. Practical weekly activities will be assigned to participants focusing on the skills you have just learned.
